Everyone has their own reasons for joining a gym.

Our gym's role is to help you achieve your goals through physical activity.

We want to strengthen connections between people through kickboxing, encourage each other during practice, and create a place where everyone can work hard together.

KICK-STYLE is a place where people can come together, meet, and inspire each other.

We strive to meet the needs of a wide range of members, from children looking to improve their manners, concentration, and confidence, to people in their 50s and 60s.

History

We started in Ishibashi, Minoh City in 2012 with the motto, "Turning contact sports into community sports!"

KICK-STYLE is a kickboxing and fitness gym established in July 2012 by Yoshi Nishikawa, who previously worked at Meguro Gym, the gym where kickboxing originated.

In a bright, fun, and homely atmosphere, we provide friendly and thorough instruction to everyone from those who are out of shape to those looking to lose weight or relieve stress. We also have a history of coaching famous professional fighters and champions, and have produced and trained professional fighters at our own gym.

The "Usage Procedure" below is an example assuming a class practice.
Members are welcome to join a class practice, or feel free to practice whatever they like.
There are also time constraints, so please come at any time during gym opening hours and practice at your own pace!
Of course, please feel free to ask an instructor for advice on practice methods at any time.

Check-in & Change

Please write your name on the attendance book at the reception.

Afterward, change into exercise clothes in the men's and women's changing rooms!

Please keep your valuables in the designated lockers with locks provided at your own risk.

Warm-Up

Flexibility and stretching are important not only for injury prevention, but also for maintaining balance and style. Be sure to do so before practice. Of course, if you're unsure how to do it, our instructors will provide thorough instruction, so feel free to ask.

We also offer yoga classes during the day for kick style. Be sure to join us!

STEP

Jump Rope & Shadow Boxing

To warm up, jump rope and shadow box. Shadow boxing is a fundamental part of kickboxing, and even if it's only for a short time, it's essential to practice it to ensure smooth performance during the punching bag and pad workouts that follow.

Basic Training

Learn the basics of punching and kicking.
Classes are divided into introductory to advanced levels, so you can practice at your own level.

Punching Bag

Punching a punching bag is not only great for fitness, but it's also a great way to release stress! Let loose all the stress you've been building up!

STEP

Hitting the Pads

Just using a punching bag won't teach you the proper flow of your body in kickboxing. By having an instructor hold the pads and hitting the designated spots, you'll be able to punch and kick more smoothly. Compared to using a punching bag, the movements are even more intense, resulting in even greater fitness benefits.

Cool Down & Stretching

After practice, be sure to cool down thoroughly with some shadow boxing (especially after punching a punching bag or hitting the pads). A thorough cool-down will help reduce fatigue and muscle soreness the next day. Also, since you'll be using muscles and tendons that aren't used often, be sure to stretch those areas thoroughly.

Change (Shower) & Head Home

After practice, use the shower facilities provided to rinse off and freshen up. Hairdryers and vanities are also provided for your convenience. Then, receive your membership card and head home feeling refreshed!


Free Time


 

Practice whenever you like and receive semi-personal training with an instructor using mitts. Our trainers will provide instruction tailored to your individual level, so this is recommended for beginners and women. Anyone can enjoy moving their body.
We're also happy to answer any questions you may have about strength training, stretching, and kickboxing techniques.

Basic Class


We will explain the basic movements of kickboxing, teach you the moves, and practice hitting the mitts.
You will learn beautiful, correct form and move stylishly,
and by hitting the mitts you will naturally get in shape and gain muscle strength.
This class is suitable for beginners too.

Technique Class


In addition to basic movements, you will learn various combinations and techniques for interpersonal situations.

Even beginners can participate as long as they bring their own equipment (leg guards, etc.). (Rentals are available for a fee.)

We will also cover clinching and elbow strike techniques.

Sparring Class


This class is primarily for those aiming to compete in matches or improve their defensive skills.
Gloves (14oz or larger), headgear, and mouthpiece are required. (We will lend these to you free of charge the first time.)
Since this is practical training, you must confirm with the instructor before participating.

Junior Class


Dads, why not give kickboxing to your energetic children at home as part of their extracurricular activities?
Not only will martial arts help your children get more exercise and strengthen their bodies and minds, but it will also help them develop good manners and courtesy, and an understanding of other people's pain.
Furthermore, your children will learn cooperation and good manners through group activities that are different from those they would have at school.
